Fields

Membership Type

The membership type can be thought of as the tier of membership for the client. There are 5 different options.

New Registration

A new registration and Unlimited Regular behave identical in access to class and number of classes allowed. The reason they are separate is to allow schools to offer a "new registration/new member" price that is different than a returning one.

Regular

A regular member is considered a "once a week" attendee. They are allowed access to all regular classes to a maximum of 1 per week for the duration of their contract. Bushido does the math to calculate the number of weeks, to limit the number of classes. So for a 12 week contract, allows 12 attendances. Bushido allows for the attendances to be done over any number of weeks, allowing for the scenario of a child in split custody and only one parent brings the child, they could attend twice one week, and not the other.

Unlimited Regular

Unlimited regular is self explanatory, it allows attendance to an unlimited number of classes that are considered regular. An explanation of non regular classes can be found here Restrictions.

Elite

Elite is similar to Unlimited Regular, however it includes all special classes as well. Consider the Elite your "all access tier".

Pay as you go

A Pay as you go contract, is to be used in conjuction with pre-paid products classes. This allows students to purchase class packs separately and attend classes using those credits.

Disciplines

This show the list of disciplines available at the dojo. A contract can be for a single discipline, 2 disciplines or more. Pricing can reflect 1, 2 or more disciplines, and even have different prices per single discipline.

Options

This is the list of "optional add-ons" available for classes. This could include items such as Weapons, Combat, team workouts, etc. This is only used when there is a "value add" option applied to that discipline.

Start Date

When does the contract take effect.

Duration

How long is the contract to be in effect. This field is only used to pre-populate the end date, as well as calculate the pricing.

End Date

When does the contract end.

Number of Payments

How many payments are going to be received. 1 payment means the entirety of the contract will be paid at once. If this number matches the duration, it will be monthly payments, etc.

Contract Type

Contract type refers to if this is a "Primary", "Secondard" or "Additional" contract. This is often used for when family discounts are applied. The first contract is full price, second is discounted, and any additional contracts have an additional discount. The discounts are optional, and not enforced by Bushido.

Billable

Billable is self explanatory, is this contract billed or not.

Contract Template

This shows the name of the template to be used when printing the contract. Your dojo could have multiple templates associated to it, or just a single one.

Price

The monthly price for the contract. The price always shows monthly in this field.

First Invoice Date

When should the first invoice be created, if you aren't creating it manually. This allows for the situation a student signs up on the 25th of a month, and you want to start invoicing on the first of the month.

Next Invoice Date

This is the date when the system will generate the next invoice. This is part of the automated invoicing task that runs. This is the most common field that is overlooked when trying to understand the excess or absence of invoices. Under normal circumstances, this date will automatically adjust with every invoice. If you however change the start date, or this date, it can affed the invoice processing.

If you don't see invoices and think you should, this date may be in the future. If you see a bunch of invoices created, and it doesn't make sense, this date is probable in the past, and the system is trying to bring it to current day.

Is Contract Signed?

This is an indicator if a digital signature has been added to the contract.

Is Contract Initialed?

This is an indicator if a digital signature has been added to the contract for the waiver.

Note

Any additional notes to be stored on the contract.

Restrictions

Also known as "Themes" or "Options"

These allow the additional restriction of a regular class to those who are either an "Elite" member, or a student who is paying for the extra options.
